How to delete your account.
Last updated 9 August 2026.
This page explains how to delete your Loopn account, what deleting removes, and what is left behind. It applies to the Loopn app and to Loopn on the web. Loopn is made by Loopn Labs Private Limited.
You can do it yourself, from inside Loopn, without asking us. It takes about a minute.
How to delete your account
- Open Loopn.
- Go to Settings.
- Under Danger zone, choose Delete account.
- Sign in with Google again. Loopn asks for this first, because the step after it cannot be undone. Nothing is deleted at this point.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then choose Delete my account.
Until you type DELETE and confirm, nothing is removed. You can leave at any point before that, and your account stays exactly as it was.
What deleting removes
Deleting your account ends the account and removes what is in it — your entries, your chats, the people you have written about, and everything Loopn has understood about you. Anything you recorded with your voice is included; so is anything you brought in from elsewhere.
It is permanent. There is no undo, and we keep no copy for you to come back to. If you sign up again later with the same Google account, you begin with an empty Loopn that remembers nothing about you.
Two things happen alongside it, so that nothing is left stranded: any files you uploaded are removed from our storage, and any work already sent to our AI provider is cancelled rather than left to finish.
The same on the app and on the web
The steps above are the same whether you are on the app or on Loopn in a browser. It is one account and one deletion — deleting from either place deletes it everywhere. You do not need to repeat it on the other.
What is left afterwards
We keep a technical record of what our systems did — the sort of log any service keeps to know what it cost to run and what went wrong. When your account is deleted, your account identifier is removed from those rows, so they no longer point to you.
We would rather say this precisely than round it up: removing the identifier means those rows are no longer attributed to your account. It does not, on its own, make them anonymous, and we are not going to claim otherwise. They exist to keep the service running, not to reconstruct you, and nothing in them is used to build a picture of you after you have gone.
Your Google account is your own and is untouched. Deleting Loopn removes Loopn — it does not affect anything else you use Google to sign in to.
If you cannot sign in
The steps above need you to sign in, because signing in is how we know the request is yours. If you cannot get into your account — a lost phone, a Google account you no longer have — write to hello@loopnlabs.com from the email address you signed up with, and we will handle it for you.
We may need to ask you something to confirm it is your account before we delete it. That is not an obstacle course. It is the same care we would want taken with ours.
