What we keep, what we don't, what we'd never do.

Loopn is a journal. The whole product is built around the assumption that what you write here is some of the most private thinking you do. This page is the contract behind that.

What Loopn collects

The journal entries you write to it. The names of the people you mention, and how you've talked about them over time. Your email address, so we have a way to reach you. Light technical telemetry about the app itself — version, device class, crash reports — never about content.

What Loopn does not collect

What happens to what you write

Your entries are stored encrypted at rest, in our database in the region you signed up from. They are read only by:

We do not train on your content. Not to improve our model, not to improve anyone else's model, not anonymised, not aggregated. The service runs on hosted foundation models that have their own contractual no-training guarantees with us, which we'll list on this page once we're public.

Memory, retention, and deletion

Loopn's memory is the product. It remembers what you wrote and how it changed. You can:

Deletion is a real deletion, not a soft-delete flag. The 30-day window is to give you a way back if you change your mind in the first month, and to honour standard backup rotation.

Cookies on this website

This site uses no third-party cookies and no analytics that profile you. If we add analytics later, it will be Plausible or a similar tool that doesn't set tracking cookies and doesn't share data. The only cookies that may be set are by the form provider (Formspree) on submission, to prevent abuse.

Children

Loopn is for adults. We do not knowingly accept users under 18. If we discover an account belongs to a minor, we'll delete it.

India-specific notes

We comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to nominate a person who may exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to hello@loopnlabs.com with the subject line "DPDP request" and we'll act within 7 days.

Changes

If we update this page in a way that materially changes how we handle your data, we'll email every active user before the change takes effect. Not after. Before.
