What we keep, what we don't, what we'd never do.
Loopn is a journal. The whole product is built around the assumption that what you write here is some of the most private thinking you do. This page is the contract behind that.
What Loopn collects
The journal entries you write to it. The names of the people you mention, and how you've talked about them over time. Your email address, so we have a way to reach you. Light technical telemetry about the app itself — version, device class, crash reports — never about content.
What Loopn does not collect
- Your contacts, calendar, or photos. We don't ask. We don't want them.
- Your location. The product has no use for it.
- Behavioural ad signals. There is no ad system to feed.
- Any cross-site tracking. No third-party pixels load on this site or in the app.
What happens to what you write
Your entries are stored encrypted at rest, in our database in the region you signed up from. They are read only by:
- You, when you open the app.
- The model that generates your Sunday Loop, on your scheduled cadence — and only the parts of your memory the Loop is reasoning over that week.
- Us, manually, only with your explicit, in-app permission, in cases where you've asked for support and there's no other way to help.
We do not train on your content. Not to improve our model, not to improve anyone else's model, not anonymised, not aggregated. The service runs on hosted foundation models that have their own contractual no-training guarantees with us, which we'll list on this page once we're public.
Memory, retention, and deletion
Loopn's memory is the product. It remembers what you wrote and how it changed. You can:
- Delete a single memory. The entry vanishes; the supersession trail vanishes with it.
- Forget a person. Every memory tagged to them is removed. The Sunday Loop will not mention them again.
- Delete your account. Everything you wrote is permanently destroyed within 30 days. Backups roll off within 90.
Deletion is a real deletion, not a soft-delete flag. The 30-day window is to give you a way back if you change your mind in the first month, and to honour standard backup rotation.
Cookies on this website
This site uses no third-party cookies and no analytics that profile you. If we add analytics later, it will be Plausible or a similar tool that doesn't set tracking cookies and doesn't share data. The only cookies that may be set are by the form provider (Formspree) on submission, to prevent abuse.
Children
Loopn is for adults. We do not knowingly accept users under 18. If we discover an account belongs to a minor, we'll delete it.
